IBC Testing

UN testing ensures IBC containers are safe and compliant for transporting hazardous materials. Each container must pass several key tests before use:

Leakproofness Test – Checks for leaks using internal air pressure.
Stacking Test – Ensures it can support the weight of stacked IBCs.
Pressure Test – Verifies the container can handle required internal pressure.
Vibration Test – Confirms it can withstand transport vibration cycles.
Chemical Compatibility Test – Ensures the IBC is compatible with the intended contents.

Periodic Testing & Recertification

Initial Inspection – Required before the first use of any new IBC.
Periodic Inspections – Performed every 2.5 to 5 years depending on IBC type to maintain certification.
Recertification – Full structural checks, including valves and fittings, to confirm the IBC is still safe for continued use.
